El nivel B1 se refiere a un usuario independiente del idioma, es decir, alguien con la fluidez necesaria para comunicarse sin esfuerzo con hablantes nativos. Según el Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCERL), existen 6 niveles de referencia en total, divididos en tres bloques (A, B y C) y dos subniveles (1 y 2).

A continuación, se describen las competencias lingüísticas requeridas para alcanzar el nivel B1 de inglés según el MCERL:

• Comprensión de los puntos principales de textos claros y en lengua estándar sobre temas conocidos.
• Capacidad para desenvolverse en la mayoría de las situaciones durante un viaje a zonas donde se habla la lengua.
• Habilidad para producir textos sencillos y coherentes sobre temas familiares o de interés personal.
• Descripción de experiencias, acontecimientos, deseos y aspiraciones, así como justificación breve de opiniones o explicación de planes.

Existen numerosas certificaciones de inglés que gozan de reconocimiento internacional. Estas evalúan variadas competencias y son proporcionadas por diferentes entidades. A continuación, te presento algunas de las más distinguidas y aceptadas en el mundo:

Certificaciones de Cambridge English: Estos exámenes son proporcionados por Cambridge Assessment English e incluyen:

• Pre A1 Starters: Perteneciente a la serie Young Learners, es diseñado para niños que comienzan su aprendizaje en inglés.

• A1 Movers: Otro examen de la serie Young Learners, indica una introducción al aprendizaje del inglés.

• A2 Flyers: Representa el nivel más avanzado dentro de los exámenes Young Learners.

• A2 Key (KET): Examen de nivel básico que valida habilidades esenciales en inglés.

• B1 Preliminary (PET): Acredita un dominio fundamental del inglés.

• B2 First (FCE): Autentica la capacidad para usar el inglés en contextos laborales o académicos cotidianos.

• C1 Advanced (CAE): Un examen de alto nivel que confirma un avanzado manejo del idioma.

• C2 Proficiency (CPE): Denota un nivel de maestría en el inglés.

IELTS: Administrado conjuntamente por el British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia y Cambridge Assessment English. Se ofrece en dos versiones:

• IELTS Academic
• IELTS General Training.

TOEFL: Gestionado por ETS (Educational Testing Service). Es altamente reconocido, en especial por universidades de EE. UU.

TOEIC: Otro examen supervisado por ETS, orientado al inglés en el entorno profesional.

Pearson Test of English (PTE): Aunque cuenta con varias versiones, PTE Academic destaca por ser el elegido para admisiones universitarias internacionales.

Certificaciones de Trinity College London ESOL: Abarca exámenes como:

• Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE)
• Integrated Skills in English (ISE).

EF SET: Es un examen online diseñado por Education First.

OET: Examen de inglés específicamente para profesionales del ámbito de la salud.

Michigan Tests: Ofrecen certificaciones como:

• Examination for the Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE)
• Examination for the Certificate of Proficiency in English (ECPE).

APTIS: Es una prueba adaptativa del inglés, ideada por el British Council.

• Obtendrás el Diploma Certificado de la formación recibida, en formato digital, con los contenidos, competencias y horas del curso realizado. Contendrá Firma digital y huella electrónica, así como código de validación exclusivo ante terceros, según recoge la Ley 59/2003 de firma electrónica. Podrás Acreditar que tu Título es real, ante cualquier Empresa o entidad que lo solicite.
